Bryan J. Hamlin has experience on both sides of the legal fence. Before joining The Hamlin Law Firm, Bryan worked as an Assistant State Attorney, gaining significant trial experience prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases. He has handled thousands of cases ranging from criminal traffic to first degree felonies punishable by life in prison. He has also argued numerous criminal appeals. During his time as an Assistant State Attorney, Bryan was called upon to handle some of the first spice D.U.I. cases in the State of Florida.
Among his additional duties as a prosecutor, Bryan represented the State of Florida in proceedings for the civil commitment of the mentally ill who pose a threat to themselves or others. He also assisted in the supervision of the misdemeanor division.
Prior to his work as a prosecutor, Bryan clerked for a family law magistrate. Bryan is a member of the Alabama bar and is licensed to practice in all Florida Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
